Sengong officially launches its new low-carbon, smart factory in Linyi, Shandong, China

On March 31, 2026, Sengong New Materials officially inaugurated its new low-carbon manufacturing facility in Linyi, Shandong. Centered around the theme “PVA — Planet Value Added,” it marks the official commencement of operations at its new green facility. This also represents a strategic step forward in advancing high-performance, scalable & sustainable manufacturing of biodegradable water-soluble PVA films.

The event brought together distinguished guests from policymakers and industry, including Wen Xiuting, Vice Chairwoman of the Lanshan District CPPCC and District Federation Chairwoman of Industry & Commerce; Wang Wei, Party Secretary of Bancheng Town; Zheng Peiqing, Party Secretary of Jinluo Group; Shi Zhan, General Manager of Shanghai Wujiaochang High-Tech Industrial Park; and Yang Qingyue, Head of Government & Media Relations at ZTO Express. 

Representatives from leading investment institutions—including Shenzhen Capital Group (SCGC), Meridian Capital, CM Venture Capital, and Hongfu Capital—were also present.

The successful launch of the new facility was made possible through strong support from policymakers, capital markets, and strategic partners. Wen Xiuting highlighted the region’s industrial development strategy, noting that Sengong’s new factory symbolizes a breakthrough in policy–industry collaboration & an important addition to the local advanced materials ecosystem.

Gao Yun of SCGC, speaking on behalf of investors, praised Sengong’s disciplined execution & commitment to foundational technologies. He emphasized that the new facility successfully translates lab-based innovation into industrial-scale production, turning sustainability from an ‘option’ into a ‘preferred solution’ in the market.

Sengong’s concept of “PVA — Planet Value Added” is brought to life at the new facility. During the event, guests toured the production lines, experiencing firsthand Sengong’s smart manufacturing capabilities.

In terms of data-driven carbon transparency, Sengong Board Secretary Daisy Yang Xiaoyi presented the facility’s carbon footprint metrics, demonstrating measurable emissions reductions through precise, quantifiable data – showcasing Sengong’s tangible progress in sustainability.

On the digital intelligence front, live system demonstrations showcased how the factory’s digital infrastructure empowers production lines—enabling lower energy consumption, higher efficiency, and smarter operations.

The completion of Sengong’s new Linyi facility represents not only a significant increase in production capacity, but also a fundamental upgrade in industrial capability and value creation. As part of this milestone, the company has also established a 1,000 sqm R&D center dedicated to functional PVA films.
